Champagne, fun and absolutley freezing!!!

27 01 2011

Emma is one of the bravest people I know – it took enormous fortitude to get down to her shorts and spangly top for this shoot. She helped the job along by bringing along a bottle of bubbly which definitely helped! These images are for Emma’s new web site. So, if you need a wedding planner, Emma Marygold is your lady!

Olivia in the snow!!

6 12 2010

Olivia and I had a ball on Sunday morning in the snow- we went for a slightly vintage feel to the photos; many thanks to Humbug Children’s Clothes shop in Ilkley for the tutu skirt- I can hardly get Olivia to take it off!! It was lovely to shoot one of my own girls and a great opportunity to try out some different ideas.

Rachael and Lee- Pre wedding shoot, in the snow!

2 12 2010

Thanks to Rachael and Lee for getting into the spirit of the shoot on Sunday despite the arctic weather conditions! We had a lot of fun thinking of different things to do , although the snow ball fight was my idea ( Lee’s competitive nature can be seen in the photos!).

Rachael and Lee are getting married next June at The Bolton Abbey Priory Church and their reception is at the beautiful Devonshire Arms Country House Hotel

A Lake District Wedding

23 11 2010

Here are a few images from a beautful, intimate wedding I shot up in the Lakes a few weeks ago. I have been meaning to put these photos up on the blog for a while now ! Kim and Ian were the lovliest couple, however the pressure was on as they are both photographers!  They chose the Langdale Chase hotel for their civil ceremony with its stunning views out over Winderemere. This was a fantastic location for a wedding shoot with so many possibilities thrown up for back drops , I love the photos on the jetty with the steamer bobbing past in the background. We even used the boat house to shooot against and Kim was brave enough to do a few posed shots as well! My very favourite image from this wedding is Kim and Ian with their impeccably behaved dogs with the hotel in the background

How Did anyone Get to Be this Cute?

18 11 2010

Many thanks to my friend Lisa for lending me her adorable son for my Christmas card image this year- he looked more “Christmassy” for the real shoot but these shots, which I love as much, were taken at the end of the session and show him for the true pro he was!!

Pre wedding Shoot in Haworth November 2010

13 11 2010

Last Saturday was a beautiful, golden, late Autumn day with lots of sunshine . I went over to Haworth to meet Suzanne and Adam. Suzanne used to come to Haworth as a child so it held many happy memories for her. The Rose and Apothecary is like a shop from a film set, as is the station and the tea rooms so, in fact I could have photographed everything in the village if time had allowed! Here are a few shots from last week! A slight vintage feel to a few of the photos as befits Haworth! Great hats guys!
Suzanne and Adam are getting married next April at Holdsworth House Hotel.

Family Shoot near Harrogate- October 2010

11 11 2010

How lovely it was to see these guys again after a gap of 4 years! They were just as I remembered and it really doen’t seem a minute ago that I was last at their home photographing a much younger pair ! The sun shone and I am delighted with the set of images- some of everyone! Should be a good slideshow!

Half Term Shoot in The Lake District

8 11 2010

Half term came and went in a flurry of activity, London,Harrogate and finally the Lake District for this lovely shoot with two great girls- we went for a country look, as befitted the Lakes! The girls looked stunning- I almost felt we were shooting a catalogue!!! My favourite shot ( almost !) is the very last one. Thank you for being so open to my ideas, lying around on jetties and generally getting wet and cold! I am very much looking forward to showing all  the rest of the pictures at the viewing later this week.

Pre wedding shoot for Sarah and Adam- October 2010

5 11 2010

We had a great morning at Bolton Abbey a few weeks ago for Sarah and Adam’s pre wedding shoot and they bought their gorgeous little boy along to share the fun. They are getting married next May at The Otley Chevin Country Park Hotel after a church service in Bingley. William was a natural in front of the camera ( for the frist few minutes!) but he made his parents laugh so that I could capturee the first image of this set, which is one of my favourites form their shoot.
